Will the shower filter reduce my water pressure?Updated 10 months ago
The Infinity Shower Filter is engineered to provide effective filtration while maintaining consistent water pressure.
However, as with any shower filter, a gradual reduction in pressure over time can indicate that the filter cartridge is full and needs replacing. To ensure optimal performance, we recommend replacing the Infinity Shower Filter Cartridge every 6 months or after filtering 40,000 litres of water.
Replacement timeframes are based on metropolitan-treated town water quality and may vary depending on water usage and the quality of your source water.
For the Handset, Raindrop & Streamline Shower Filters
- zazen Streamline Shower Filter – There will be no change to water pressure upon installation. However, if pressure decreases over time, it indicates that the filter cartridge is full and needs replacing.
- zazen Handset & Raindrop Shower Filters – These are WELS-rated at 9L/minand comply with water-saving regulations. Your water pressure will depend on your previous showerhead:
- If your previous showerhead was already water-saving (9–15 LPM), you won’t notice a difference in pressure.
- If your previous showerhead had a higher flow rate, you may experience a reduction in pressure due to compliance with WELS standards.
