Do your Shower Filters reduce Copper?Updated 2 months ago

Yes, the zazen Shower Filter media, which is 100% recyclable, effectively reduces heavy metals such as copper (over 99%), as well as lead and mercury at the same rate.

When heavy metals like copper come into contact with our shower filter media, a reaction occurs, causing the metal to bind to the filter media’s surface (similar to how something sticks to a plate). This process effectively removes these contaminants from your shower water. The zazen Shower Filter media attracts both soluble and insoluble heavy metals.

To ensure optimal performance, shower filter cartridges must be replaced regularly:

  • The Infinity Shower Filter Cartridge should be replaced every 6 months.
  • The zazen Handset & Raindrop Shower Filter cartridges should be replaced every 12 months.
  • The Streamline Shower Filter cartridges every 24 months.

Over time, the filter media becomes more compacted, which can affect water flow. zazen Water will proactively remind you when it's time to replace your cartridge through our Customer Reminder Service (CRS).

Important Notice: The zazen Handset, Raindrop, and Streamline Shower Filters, along with the Streamline Replacement Filter Cartridge, are no longer available for sale.

These replacement guidelines are provided specifically for existing customers who continue to use a Handset, Raindrop, or Streamline Shower Filter.
